Do you want to enjoy our unique "Giro Experience" or "Ride Every Kilometre" trips, but can only take a short break? Then this tour is for you. In 3 days of riding, you’ll discover beautiful Italy while riding on the Giro d’Italia route just hours before the pros.

We are offering the Giro Getaway on Weeks 1, 2 and 3, in each case over a long weekend. So take your pick on which dates best fit your schedule, and which stages you wish to ride.

You'll ride on the stage route with our local guides and support vans, and since you are there just hours before the race, thousands of fans are there to cheer you on.

The hardcore cyclists can ride the whole stage on each of the three days, leaving early in the morning. But there’s also an option to ride just the final - and best - part of the stage (60 to 100km). Either way you’ll get the full Giro d'Italia experience.

After you’ve arrived at the finish, enjoy a healthy buffet lunch prepared by our guides and watch the pros fight for the pink jersey. In the evening, taste the local cuisine and stay in a charming hotel.

So seize the opportunity, take a short getaway and experience first hand the "toughest race in the world's most beautiful country" with us.

If you have more time to ride and watch the Giro, you can join us on a longer version of this tour.

The Giro d'Italia course will be announced in November 2017, but in the meantime contact us to register your interest.

    Route : announced November 2017

    4 Days | 3 Nights (3 stages)

We await the announcement of the route in November, but it is rumoured that the Giro will recommence in Sicily ... if so, this could mean another climb up the biggest volcano in Europe, Mt Etna.

To wind its way up from the "toe" of Italy, the route may ride through some of the best cycling regions in all of Italy - Puglia, the Appenine mountain range, and the Abruzzo region.
The first week of the Giro always features surprisingly beautiful scenery, and we have no doubt this edition will be no exception.

  • Week 2 - 17 to 20 May

    Route : announced November 2017

    4 Days | 3 Nights (3 stages)

There are rumours that in Week 2 the Giro will continue northwards up to the Veneto region and then climb up the infamous Monte Zoncolan, one of the most challenging ascents on the professional bike circuit. It has featured in the Giro only 5 times in its 100-year history, so this would be a rare experience.

We are then expected to enter the Dolomites, with a rumoured climb up the beautiful 3 Cime di Lavaredo, where Vincenzo Nibali won the 2013 Giro in an epic climb through a snow storm.

  • Week 3 - 24 to 27 May

    Route : announced November 2017

    4 Days | 3 Nights (3 stages)

From the Dolomites the Giro will probably head to the Alps, with reports indicating that we may climb up to Cervinia, the southern base of the Matterhorn for a stage finish.

Rome is likely to be the final destination where the finish line could be in St. Peter's Square at the Vatican ... an appropriate end-point following the start in Jerusalem. We'll then relax over the best Italian food and wine as we watch the exciting final stage of the race.
