A bucket-list cycling challenge: ride every kilometre of the Tour de France. The identical route as the race itself, just one day before the pros.

"I've ridden every kilometre of the Tour de France on two occasions, and each time has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. We have now started the "Ride Every Kilometre" concept to allow any capable cyclist to achieve this challenge of a lifetime - either one week or all 21 stages." Keith Tuffley, Founder of Grand Tours Project.

Riding a full stage of the Tour de France is a challenge in itself, but taking on a full week or even the full Tour is one of the world's great sporting "bucket-list" experiences. You will ride along some of the most beautiful cycle routes in France, whilst enjoying great local cuisine in charming villages.

We'll be riding one day before the Tour itself, as this will allow us to complete each stage and spend more time on our bikes enjoying the scenery.

To achieve this challenge, you will need to be fit and strong, and be ready for back-to-back long days in the saddle. But this is more than about just the bike - we will always have enough time on the route each day for relaxing stops at our favourite bakeries and for our obligatory picnic lunches.

There are very limited spaces on this tour, with a maximum of 14 cyclists. This small group will ride together and will always have the support van close by – with drinks, snacks and dry clothing.

If riding every kilometre of the Tour de France sounds a bit much then you may prefer to ride one week (see our Week 1, 2 or 3 options), or you can check out our Tour de France Experience.

The next five stages will pass through Brittany, home territory of 3-times winner of the Tour de France, Louison Bobet, and onto Roubaix, to experience 21 kilometres of cobbles. The Pyrenees will be the highlight of the 3rd week, and we are looking forward to its greatest cycling pass, the Col de Tourmalet. The finish in Paris is always a memorable experience, as we ride the cobbles on the Champs Elysées and then sip champagne to toast our incredible achievement.
