Welcome to Flanders, the heart of cycling. Home to some of the world's best beer and, even more importantly, the oldest and most epic classic races, Flanders is truly the cradle of the sport.
During this long weekend, you’ll be right in the middle of the action, experiencing the palpable excitement for the spring cycling season. While beautiful weather is not guaranteed, embracing the authentic ‘Flandrien weather’ will only add to the epic feel of the weekend. You’ll be guided by our expert team through this cycling paradise, riding roads they know like the back of their hand.
Get ready for cobblestone action, racing, and fun—we’ll see you there.
Looking to expand your cycling adventure? Combine this tour with our Paris-Roubaix Gran Fondo Weekender? This is your opportunity to take on both the legendary ‘Hell of the North’ Paris Roubaix Challenge and the ‘We Ride Flanders’ sportive. If you are ready to face the fabled cobblestones and cross the finish line in the iconic Roubaix Velodrome and the Oudenaarde finish, we invite you to contact us for more information on how to join this unforgettable adventure.
Upon your arrival at Brussels Airport, a private transfer will take you to our hotel in the ancient city of Ghent. After arrival, our team will be on hand to assist with bike assembly and fitting for those renting bikes. We’ll then embark on a short, 30 km warm-up ride to give you a first taste of the famous Flandrien roads. We will ride to a nearby cobbled section, a perfect introduction to the legendary terrain that has defined cycling history. After the ride, you’ll have some time to relax and explore the city before we gather for our welcome meeting, followed by our first dinner together, where we’ll discuss the exciting days ahead.
Prepare for the “Hell of the North” today as we ride the iconic route of Paris-Roubaix. After breakfast, our team will transfer you to Kortrijk, where your ride begins. About 50 km in, you will discover the notorious cobbled sections – a test of endurance that belies the day’s flat elevation profile. We will tackle the last 33 km of the official race route, a brutal stretch featuring eight of the most demanding cobbled sectors. The ultimate prize awaits as we finish with a few laps inside the legendary Roubaix Velodrome itself PLUS the opportunity to shower off the mud or dust in the same iconic stalls. A glass of Belgian beer will be waiting to toast your accomplishment before we transfer back to the hotel for race preparations and a well-deserved dinner.
Today is the day of De Ronde Sportive. Started in 1913, tomorrow’s Tour of Flanders transforms the country into complete cycle mania each year, and today, you will become a part of its history. Together with 16,000 other dedicated and enthusiastic cyclists, you will conquer the legendary hills and cobbles just one day before the pros over a choice of four distances TBA. The weather is an essential element to this spectacular event – be it rain and mud or sunshine and dust. As the race’s tagline declares, it’s all about “Hills. Cobbles. Suffer.” You will have the chance to step into the footsteps of champions as you persevere through this unforgettable challenge.
After riding De Ronde Sportive yourself yesterday, you’ll have a newfound appreciation for the Vlaanderens Mooiste (Flanders Finest) as you watch them tackle the same and more of the legendary climbs and cobbles. The men’s race is approximately 269 km and the women’s race is about 169 km. Of the cobbled climbs, the Paterberg and Koppenberg, are short but incredibly steep and are a defining feature of the race.
Following a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to an exclusive VIP Oudenaarde hospitality area. From this prime location, you’ll have a front-row seat to the action, with a big screen providing live coverage and allowing you to watch the peloton cross the climb three times. This will be a day forever carved into your memories, as you watch the teams battle the cobbles and ride for glory.
Unfortunately, the escape to Flanders to ride and spectate has reached its conclusion. We recommend a departure later in the day so you can relax and enjoy breakfast. Our team will be on hand to assist with packing your bike before we say farewell to Flanders and begin your journey home. We will then provide your transfer to Brussels Airport.
