2025 is a special year for us as we become an official tour operator of the Tour de France! This means that we are offering our signature “Experience” and “Ride Every Kilometre” tours, giving you the chance to ride on the world’s biggest Grand Tour, just hours ahead of the pros! Grand Tours Project is an experienced tour operator, fully equipped to deliver unforgettable tours, suitable for all levels of passionate cyclists.

Ride Every Kilometre tours

As it says, on the same route, just hours ahead of the pros. Suitable only for very advanced cyclists capable of long back-to-back days with perhaps less rest than you might be used to. Experience the immense atmosphere created by the cheering crowds. This tour is as close as amateur cyclists can get to being a pro bike racer in a Grand Tour. Push your limits on this challenging tour and ride 3, 6, or all 21 stages of the race.

Experience - leisure tours

Our Experience tours are designed to let you ride the best 60-100 km on the same route, just hours ahead of the pros. Be part of the race, experience the passionate crowds, and cheer on the pros. Grand Tours Project typically splits the race into three week-long tours, plus a Grand Depart tour, allowing participants to immerse themselves in the Tour de France experience at different stages of the event.

Spectators-only packages, VIP tickets & E-bike options

See, feel, and experience the Tour de France as a non-riding VIP spectator on any of its 21 stages. Enjoy start-line or finish-line hospitality, or follow the peloton in a car or helicopter.

Our tours on Tour de France are designed for intermediate to advanced cyclists
For our "Experience" tours:
- Level of fitness: MEDIUM - fit enough to ride 2 to 4 hours or 40 to 100 km per day
- Intermediate to advanced cycling abilities and skills.
- Some experience on mountain climbs and descents.
- Adequate training in advance of the trip.
- The guides will set clear parameters such as road rules, food breaks, and waiting at the top of a pass. His/her instructions must be followed at all times.
- The safety of all our team members is our first priority. You are required to ride safely, respect all road rules, and follow the instructions of our guides and of any officials, for your benefit and for the other team members.
For our "Ride Every Kilometre" tours:
- Level of fitness: Advance - fit enough to ride 5 to 7 hours or 130 to 200 km some days at a steady pace.
- Intermediate to advanced cycling abilities and skills.
- Good experience on big mountain climbs and descents, long-distance riding, and back-to-back days on the bike.
- Adequate training in advance of the trip … you will be attempting to ride several stages of a pro race - it is achievable when you have trained well.
- Time is an important factor on this trip. In order to achieve our goal of riding every kilometre, we must stick to a strict timetable. This includes starting early in the morning as instructed and adhering to the time allocated for our food breaks during the ride.
- If for some reason you are behind the group due to fitness or mechanical reasons, you may be asked to jump into the van to catch up with the rest of the group. Vice versa if you are too fast and ahead of the group … you may need to wait for the group.
- The guides will set clear parameters such as road rules, food breaks, and waiting at the top of a pass. His/her instructions must be followed at all times.
- The safety of all our team members is our first priority. You are required to ride safely, respect all road rules, and follow the instructions of our guides and of any officials, for your benefit and for the other team members.
The full Tour de France experience, delicious food, being cheered by the fans, stunning landscapes, challenging climbs, new friends, pure air and time away from your smartphone are guaranteed on this trip.
