France’s premier cycle race has been announced and we are sure that there are many of you keen to participate in and watch the Grand Boucle. We have designed The Ultimate Ride Every Kilometre tour and if that is too much of a challenge, smaller portions of the tour are available.

So what is Ride Every Kilometre (REK)? It's the opportunity for you to ride the same full stages as the pros, the day before the actual race. Riding from the start (at a reasonable time!) to the finish; without control checkpoints, detours and less stress trying to race the gendarmes, caravan and the pros! REK has been tried and tested by Keith Tuffley. He succeeded and decided to set up Grand Tours Project to help other cycling fanatics to achieve their dreams of riding the premier cycle races in Europe.

If you have the time and energy, The Ultimate REK will take place over 27 days! This includes the Grand Depart in Copenhagen, Part 2 from Dunkerque to Chatel via western Switzerland, Part 3 from Morzine to Carcassonne and the final week Part 3, Carcassonne to the finish in Paris. 3323 kilometres and approximately 50,000 metres ascent. Can you do it?

Understandably, The Ultimate REK is for those riders who have the time and fitness to complete the French grand tour, without team members fighting tactical battles, assisting in breakaways, and of course professional backup. Grand Tours Project will provide a guide, a support van and a mechanic.

If time is your enemy, Grand Tours Project have split The Ultimate REK tour into 4 parts. This tour is designed to ride 24hrs prior to the official stage.

Please note - Grand Tours Project is not an "Official Tour Operator" of the Tour de France. You can find these official operators on the TDF website.
