DAY 1: Arrival Day

Alpine Arrival in Grenoble

Welcome to France and the dramatic heart of the Alps! Upon arrival at Lyon Airport, a member of our team will provide a transfer to your hotel in Grenoble – a vibrant alpine capital defined by stunning mountain scenery and a rich sporting legacy. After settling into your accommodation, take time to explore this city, a former Winter Olympics host with charming riverside cafés to the breathtaking panoramic views accessed via the Bastille cable car. The evening culminates in a welcoming dinner, featuring regional specialties, as we look ahead to the legendary cycling drama that awaits in the days to come.

DAY 2: The Legendary Alpe d’Huez

Following breakfast, we embark on a scenic transfer to the legendary Alpe d’Huez. Upon arrival, you will enjoy an exclusive VIP experience few encounter: the chance to cross the finish line yourself and stand proudly on the official podium, just like the champions. Afterward, we descend to the village of Huez, where Grand Tours Project hosts a special, hospitality lunch prepared by our chef, and stunning alpine views. Following lunch, join the passionate fans along the roadside to watch the race in its purest, most visceral form as the riders tackle one of cycling’s most iconic ascents. As the excitement fades, we return to your Grenoble hotel to unwind and reflect on an unforgettable day at the heart of the Tour de France.

DAY 3: On the Road to Col de la Croix de Fer

Today marks the last day in the General Classification battle, and you will be perfectly positioned to experience the high mountain drama. After breakfast, we transfer to the Col du Glandon, where GTP will provide a strategic viewing position against a magnificent alpine tableau. From this vantage point, you will witness the riders tackling the legendary ascent of the Col de la Croix de Fer – a climb steeped in Tour history and renowned for its imposing beauty and challenge. Feel the electric atmosphere and the sheer determination of the peloton as they wind up the steep roads.

Once the peloton has passed, we return to Grenoble for a relaxing afternoon. Relax at the hotel and watch the Stage 20 race live on TV or perhaps take a trip up to the 19th-century Fort de la Bastille via the famous “Bulles” (cable car) to enjoy a panoramic view over the city and the surrounding Alps.

DAY 4: Departure Day

Farewell from the Alps

After enjoying a final breakfast in Grenoble, our team will assist you with check-out, and ensure you have a comfortable transfer to Lyon Airport.
While the professional peloton starts their final act in Paris, your focus turns toward home. As you traverse the scenic mountain landscapes one last time, take a moment to reflect on the unforgettable experiences of the past days – from crossing the line on Alpe d’Huez to witnessing the pros battle on the Col de la Croix de Fer.

For those wishing to extend their journey, Grand Tours Project can arrange a transfer from Grenoble to Paris, allowing you to join the grand finale on the Champs-Élysées.

Tour de France: "Experience" - Pyrenees Escape, 2025

Grand Tours Project is a don’t miss!! The entire team went above and beyond to provide the experience of a lifetime. We are a husband and wife team who participated in the Pyrenees Escape; I as a spectator and my husband as a rider. As a spectator companion, I was included in the riding group and afforded the luxury of following them in the team van, getting great pictures and video, and providing support with drinks/snacks. There was never a dull
moment, the scenery spectacular, and the access to/amenities provided in Le Tour Villages top notch. The best part of this experience was the people. Our group included individuals from around the globe. The camaraderie was instant and we forged relationships that will last a lifetime. Bravo, GTP… well done!
