DAY 1: BIENVENUE À Genève

WELCOME RIDE 28 km | 150 m

The final, decisive week of the Tour de France 2026 begins! We meet you at Geneva Airport for a private transfer to our premium accommodation, your launchpad for the legendary French Alps. Our team will be ready for your bike fitting or to assist with your bike assembly and then shake off the travel with a short, scenic welcome ride to dial in your bike. The evening kicks off with pre-dinner drinks, followed by a Tour Briefing of the epic week ahead and a delicious, regionally-inspired welcome dinner, celebrating the start of our ultimate adventure.

DAY 2: MONT SALÈVE & ITT

70 km | 1,250m or 35 km | 650 m

After breakfast, we set off directly from the Geneva hotel for our morning ride. We will tackle the classic local ascent of Mont Salève – a long, steady climb that is famous among local cyclists.
The reward for your effort is truly spectacular: amazing panoramic views overlooking the entire city of Geneva and the expanse of Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). After soaking in the scenery, we enjoy a fun descent back to the hotel for a quick shower before heading toward the French side of the lake to Thonon-les-Bains, the finish city for today’s Individual Time Trial (ITT). We secure our spot to watch the most powerful and fastest riders in the world hurtle across the line, witnessing the dramatic conclusion of a pivotal stage.

DAY 3: CHAMBÉRY START & ALPINE PLATEAU RIDE

68 km | 1,210 m or 33 km | 450 m

After breakfast and checking out of our hotel, the team will transfer you to Chambéry, the historic capital of the Savoie region and the departure point for today’s stage. Our morning is dedicated to immersion: access to the VIP Village Départ (Start Village). This provides a prime opportunity to observe the final preparations, team strategy, and the incredible atmosphere as the professional riders sign on and warm up for the day’s stage.
Following the atmospheric departure and lunch, we commence our ride. This is a truly spectacular cycling experience, starting with a short warm-up before tackling the ascents to Sainte Marie du Mont and Col de Marcieu to a beautiful, panoramic plateau above the valley, where a challenging but stunning undulating road rewards us with incredible scenery. The stress-free ride includes a long descent and a final flat section, allowing you to absorb the majestic Alpine views before heading to your hotel in Grenoble.

DAY 4: CÔTE DU MONTEYNARD & Relais de l'Étape

70 km | 750 m

Today is all about riding a significant portion of the early stage before settling into a prime viewing location. After breakfast, we depart for our starting point just outside Grenoble for a brief, flat warm-up, following the official race route. At the 20 km mark, the challenge begins with the first categorised climb of the day: the Côte du Monteynard. We continue over a scenic, undulating section that perfectly mirrors the terrain the professionals will face later.
Our ride culminates at the TDF Relais de l’Étape, an exclusive mid-stage hospitality area. Here, you’ll trade your bike for a seated dining experience enjoying food and drink while watching the high-speed action of the professional peloton race past. Once the caravan and riders have gone through, we will transfer back to Grenoble (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes), allowing for relaxation and dinner after a full day on the official race route.

DAY 5: Alpe d’Huez D-Day

35 km | 1,140 m

Today delivers the ultimate mountain challenge! After breakfast, we transfer to the top of the Col d’Ornon to begin our ride on the official race course with a fast, scenic descent.
The route takes us to Le Bourg-d’Oisans, the base of the most famous climb in cycling: the 21 hairpin bends of Alpe d’Huez. This is your personal D-Day! Power up the iconic ascent, fuelled by the incredible passion of fans – especially through the infamous Dutch Corner – cheering you on every metre.
On reaching the summit, experience the TDF D-Day – crossing the official finish line and a celebratory moment on the winners’ podium. Afterwards, descend to a private Grand Tours Project viewing location to witness the pros battle for the stage win. Following this unforgettable finale, we arrange your transfer back to the hotel.

DAY 6: The Queen Stage & Paris Express

50 km | 1,623 m

Today shifts focus to the drama of the professional peloton’s Queen Stage. Our ride starts in Allemond, taking us immediately onto the long, famous ascent towards the Col du Glandon (1,924m). If time and legs permit, the route offers the option to continue up to the Col de la Croix de Fer (2,067m) – an extraordinary final Alpine challenge. The team will strategically set up a prime viewing position near the Col du Glandon and Col de la Croix de Fer. Prepare to cheer as the early breakaways and the main peloton fight for position, possibly passing within arm’s reach.

Following the race, enjoy a thrilling, long descent toward the valley floor near La Chambre (or a van ride option); The team will transfer you to Chambéry to a local leisure centre to use their facilities for a refreshing shower and change, before taking the TGV for a high-speed, fast journey to Paris and your hotel.

DAY 7: Paris Stage 21 VIP

Today, we trade Alpine gradients for Parisian elegance. Wake before the city truly stirs for a special optional dawn ride. We’ll spin through the heart of the capital, cycling past iconic landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and Montmartre before returning to the hotel. It’s an unforgettable way to experience the City of Lights without the crowds. Afterward, enjoy a well-earned breakfast and a relaxing morning of free time – perfect for some souvenir shopping. Following lunch, we head to the most famous street in cycling: the Champs-Élysées.
From 2:00 PM, we enjoy the atmosphere from our TDF VIP Hospitality Lounge. Watch the final circuits unfold on the screens, enjoy the food, and sip champagne as the peloton thunders closer. Then, find yourself close to the action to watch the sprinters fight for the final stage win! The celebration continues into the evening with our exclusive final dinner, gathering all Grand Tours Project team and guests to celebrate your achievements and the conclusion of the 2026 Tour de France.

DAY 8: DÉPART ET SOUVENIRS

Paris

We recommend that you book an afternoon flight to allow you a sleep-in, a leisurely Parisian continental breakfast and perhaps last-minute shopping. The Team will assist you in checking out, packing up and then transferring you to the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for your onward journey.
If the Grand Tours Project Tour de France Week 3 Experience ticks your boxes – up to 5 mountain climbs, riding on portions of the official race route with fans cheering you on, access to TDF VIP hospitality areas at the stage starts and finishes, immersed with crowds to feel the passion, dining and quaffing French cuisine, wines and beers, enjoying the camaraderie of friends family or new friends – then contact us here.

If the idea of this unforgettable experience, blending Tour de France passion with personal climbing achievement, appeals to you, don’t hesitate to get in touch with Grand Tours Project to secure your place.

Tour de France: Pyrenees Escape "Experience" Tour, 2025

Tour de France: "Experience" - Pyrenees Escape, 2025

Grand Tours Project is a don’t miss!! The entire team went above and beyond to provide the experience of a lifetime. We are a husband and wife team who participated in the Pyrenees Escape; I as a spectator and my husband as a rider. As a spectator companion, I was included in the riding group and afforded the luxury of following them in the team van, getting great pictures and video, and providing support with drinks/snacks. There was never a dull
moment, the scenery spectacular, and the access to/amenities provided in Le Tour Villages top notch. The best part of this experience was the people. Our group included individuals from around the globe. The camaraderie was instant and we forged relationships that will last a lifetime. Bravo, GTP… well done!
