Final Stage Extension
Welcome to Venice! Upon your arrival at Venice Marco Polo Airport, a member of the Grand Tours Project team will be there to greet you, providing a private transfer across the Veneto region to your premium accommodation nestled in the rolling foothills between the UNESCO Prosecco vineyards and the stunning Dolomites. After checking in and settling into your premium accommodation, you’ll have time to absorb the peaceful surroundings. Later, we’ll take a gentle, exploratory stroll through the local village, breathing in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the surrounding beauty. The evening culminates in a welcoming dinner, where we’ll savour exquisite regional Veneto-Friuli flavours and review the exciting plans for the upcoming stages, setting the tone for your Spectator Giro d’Italia experience.
Prepare for a legendary day. We take a privileged short transfer into the heart of the UNESCO Prosecco Hills for a true cycling spectacle: Stage 18 and the iconic Muro di Ca’ del Poggio. This 1.1 km wall, with its punishing 19% gradients, is where the peloton explodes and the GC battle intensifies. You will have an unforgettable, up-close view, soaking up the electric atmosphere of the Giro d’Italia. This electrifying experience is paired with Grand Tours Project hospitality, featuring refreshments and curated local foods and drinks. Enjoy a glass of Prosecco, celebrating the passion of the Corsa Rosa amidst the stunning vineyard backdrop.
Today, we trade the rolling Prosecco vineyards for the jagged peaks of the Dolomites. We begin with a scenic transfer to the Alpine resort of Alleghe, the dramatic finish town for Stage 19. Upon arrival, you’ll have access to the most exclusive viewing area: the “Leonardo” Finish Line Hospitality area. Before the riders’ arrival, your day will feature the access to cross the official finish line banner and ascend the very Giro d’Italia Podium! From the safety of the hospitality lounge, you will then feel the intense pressure as the General Classification leaders fight through the final, brutal kilometres. The day concludes with a transfer back to your hotel in Caneva before a hand-picked restaurant allowing you to celebrate your moment on the Pink Podium before a well-earned rest.
Today is the final, high-stakes day in the mountains. We begin with a short, private transfer to Aviano, strategically positioned near the base of a pivotal climb on Stage 20, the final General Classification battle. We will immerse ourselves in the electric, festive atmosphere of this key passage point. Enjoy dedicated hospitality and witness the sheer speed and palpable tension as the Maglia Rosa and the entire peloton cycle past at full throttle, heading into the final, decisive ascents. Immediately after the riders pass, our dedicated team activates your final customized transfer.
