This Grand Tours Project journey unfolds across the Alpine landscapes surrounding Torino, placing riders on the same iconic roads that shape professional racing. Throughout the week, you’ll ride along official race routes, challenge yourself on legendary climbs such as Colle delle Finestre, Montoso, Colletta di Paesana, and Colletta di Brondello, and experience the thrill of crossing official finish lines and podiums.
Beyond the most famous ascents, you’ll also discover lesser-known and untouched areas of the Piedmont Alps, including the spectacular Moncenisio and Petit Moncenisio. These hidden gems, immersed in high-mountain scenery and rich in history, add an exclusive and authentic dimension to the experience, making this journey truly unique.
From relaxed warm-up rides in historic valleys to demanding mountain stages that test endurance and determination, each day is carefully designed to balance performance, enjoyment, and recovery. Non-rider option
When you arrive in Torino Airport or train station, the Grand Tours Project team will be ready to welcome you and assist with a smooth group transfer to Susa, nestled in the heart of the Alps. After hotel check-in, our staff will be at full disposal to help set up and fine-tune each bicycle, ensuring everything is perfectly adjusted for the days ahead. We’ll head out for a relaxed welcome ride of approximately 25 km, an easy and enjoyable spin designed to loosen the legs, take in the surrounding scenery, and ease into the rhythm of the tour.
The day concludes with a Welcome dinner, where the team will officially present the program for the upcoming days, offering insights into the routes, key moments, and what to expect from this unforgettable cycling experience.
We will start directly from Susa with an easy warm-up ride through the surrounding valley, allowing the legs to warm up while enjoying the alpine scenery. After this gentle introduction, we’ll begin the iconic Moncenisio climb, a historic ascent offering wide roads and spectacular views. Reaching the top, we’ll ride alongside the stunning Lake Moncenisio, before continuing toward Petit Moncenisio on a truly suggestive and scenic road, immersed in a unique high-mountain atmosphere. After completing the loop, we’ll descend back to Susa, where the remainder of the afternoon will be dedicated to recovery and relaxation. A rewarding day combining history, iconic climbs, and breathtaking landscapes, all in the heart of the Alps.
After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll again start our ride directly from Susa, beginning with a short warm-up through the surrounding area before joining the official race route. From here, the challenge begins with the legendary Colle delle Finestre, one of the most iconic, legendary and demanding climbs in cycling, offering a true test of endurance and determination. After the summit, enjoy an exhilarating downhill before arriving in Sestriere, where we’ll have the unique opportunity to cross the official Giro Arrivo and step onto the Winners’ Podium. We’ll then take time to relax and watch the race live, fully immersed in the electric atmosphere of the event.
At the end of the race, a group transfer to the Torino area will be arranged, concluding an unforgettable day of cycling and Giro-inspired excitement.
Savour a high energy breakfast as we endeavour to stay in front of the race the same roads that define the final stage of the event. The day will feature three key climbs, Montoso, Colletta di Paesana, and Colletta di Brondello, offering a demanding yet rewarding ride through the scenic landscapes of Piedmont. The ride concludes in Saluzzo, where we’ll gather to watch the final stage of the race, soaking in the atmosphere of the finish and celebrating your and the pros the achievements of the week. After the race, we’ll return to the hotel for our final dinner, the perfect moment to reflect on an unforgettable cycling experience shared together.
Departure day and the Grand Tours Project team will be on hand to assist you every step of the way, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey home. From coordinating transfers to Torino Airport or the train station to providing full support with bike preparation and packing, our guides will take care of every detail right up to the final goodbye.
