The 2026 Tour de France will start with a spectacular Team Time Trial, a thrilling race against the clock that will set a dramatic tone from the start. You’ll feel the energy of the peloton and the passion of the local fans as the race passes through the vibrant streets and past iconic landmarks of Barcelona. More than just watching a race, this is an unforgettable journey that combines the thrill of the Tour with the rich culture and magnificent scenery of Spain’s Mediterranean jewel.
Beyond the excitement of the race, Barcelona is a city that offers a feast for the senses. It’s a place where history and modern life meet, with famous buildings like Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Família and whimsical Park Güell. You can get lost in the narrow, winding streets of the Gothic Quarter, full of hidden squares and old shops. For a taste of local life, explore a food market like La Boqueria, where you can find delicious tapas, fresh seafood, and all kinds of local treats. Barcelona’s mix of art, history, and incredible food makes it a perfect place to visit.

Welcome to Barcelona! Upon your arrival at Barcelona Airport (BCN), a member of our team will greet you and provide a seamless transfer to your city center hotel. After you’ve had a chance to check in and settle, you can relax before we take a leisurely stroll through the labyrinthine streets of the historic Gothic Quarter, immersing ourselves in its medieval charm and vibrant atmosphere. The evening culminates in a welcome tapas dinner, where we’ll savor the authentic flavors of Catalonia and discuss the spectator plans for the Tour de France Grand Départ over the next few days.
Today is all about the thrilling Team Time Trial. After breakfast the team will take you to the Sagrada Família – a jaw dropping cathedral that must be visited – before the team takes you to a prime viewing location with VIP access to watch the action. This 19.7-kilometer race will take teams from the beaches of Barcelona, past the iconic Sagrada Família, and finish with a climb up to the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium. You’ll get to see the action up close and feel the excitement as each team races against the clock.
After a tour experience in the city such as visits to Gaudi’s famous apartment buildings, the whimsical Park Güell and if time allows to the La Boqueria food market. After lunch our guides will transfer you to the exclusive TDF VIP Izoard area at the Stage 2 Arrivée. From this prime location, you’ll watch as the professionals race for victory on the Montjuïc hill. You’ll be right at the heart of the action, experiencing the grand finale of a Tour stage with an unforgettable view.
After enjoying a final breakfast, the team will assist you with checking out. While the professional peloton will begin Stage 3 of the Tour de France from Granollers, your focus will be on your journey home. Our team will provide a transfer to Barcelona Airport, ensuring you have a smooth and comfortable journey as you depart with memories of an unforgettable weekend in Catalonia.
