Your Swiss cycling adventure begins with a warm welcome at Geneva Airport. Our team will provide a transfer to your hotel in either Lutry or Lausanne, overlooking Lac Léman. After check-in, we’ll help you prepare your bike for a short and scenic welcome ride along the lakeshore, a perfect introduction to the Swiss roads. Later, we’ll gather for a tour briefing and a delicious dinner.
Today’s ride is a feast for the eyes as we cycle through the heart of the Lavaux vineyards, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This stunning route offers a breathtaking vista of the terraced vineyards cascading down to the tranquil waters of Lac Léman and the dramatic backdrop of the French Alps. En route, the team will arrange a local wine tasting. We will ride to the elegant towns of Vevey and Montreux, with our destination being the iconic Château de Chillon on the lake edge. The day concludes with a classic paddleboat steamer ride back to our hotel, offering a perfect, leisurely finale and a new perspective of the shoreline you’ve just ridden.
If you want to add more elevation at the end of the ride – our guides will take you up to Les Pleiades with stunning panoramic views over Montreux, the lake and alps.
Today is dedicated to two of Switzerland’s most delicious exports: chocolate and cheese. We’ll begin with a transfer to the famous Maison Cailler chocolate factory in Broc. After a delicious tour and tasting, our ride begins. We will cycle through the countryside to the medieval town of Gruyères before continuing on to Château d’Oex, a small town famous as the launch point for the first hot air balloon to circumnavigate the world, where you can enjoy a traditional Swiss lunch – lots of fromage and perhaps an opportunity to watch the cheese being made.
After lunch, our journey turns alpine. We will ride over the scenic Col des Mosses, followed by a fantastic descent into Les Diablerets. From here, you have a choice: take a transfer to your hotel in the mountain village of Villars, or take on one last challenge by climbing the Col de la Croix before rolling triumphantly to the finish.
After yesterday’s grand alpine challenges, today is a well-deserved day of alpine relaxation. The morning is dedicated to gentle exploration at a more leisurely pace. We suggest a ride to the alpine hamlet of Taveyanne for a traditional mountain breakfast followed by a cycle to Solalex, one of the most beautiful valleys in Switzerland, and dominated by the Miroir d’Argentine. If the weather is warm a picnic lunch beside a rushing mountain stream is magical, otherwise a light lunch in the refuge. Back in Villars and depending upon your hotel choice, you can indulge in the Villars Palace’s superb and state of the art spa facilities or the renovated Villars Piscine Centre. Optional extension ride to Pont de Nant for Lunch + finishing the ride in Gryon + transfer back to Villars, avoiding rail tracks.
If you are keen to discover our local routes, the rides can be extended to include magical routes to alpine valleys, through the Chablais vineyards and even a challenging 8 km climb to Grand Tours Project HQ!
After a final Swiss breakfast, our team will transfer you to Geneva Airport for your onward journey. The memories of this unforgettable journey – of challenging climbs, picturesque landscapes, and the wonderful flavors of Switzerland – will stay with you for a lifetime.
