The 111th Grand Tour of France will be one to remember - starting in Italy and finishing in Nice with an Individual Time Trial. The Grand Tours Project Ride Every Kilometre is the ultimate cycling challenge for the 2024 race. Ride all 21 stages the day before the race on the official race route. That's over 3,300km, and 44,000+ metres of climbing, over 21 stages.
We're offering the opportunity for amateur cyclists to ride every kilometre, on every stage, of the Giro, the day before the race. We'll be riding the official cycle routes from the Grand Depart in Northern Italy, crossing the French - Italian Alps into France, racing up to Bourgogne and the white roads, across to Champagne, through the Loire region into the Massif Central through the flat plains of Aquitaine and into the Pyrenees. The third week takes you to the Mediterranean, the Maritime Alps including the epic Cime de la Bonette, before returning to the glamorous French Riviera - Monaco and Nice and an ITT as the grande finale! If you want a different Grand Boucle of France, this 111th edition is it!
You don’t need to be an elite athlete, but you must be fit and strong, and be ready for back-to-back long days in the saddle. We will start early and sometimes not finish till 4:30 pm. Unlike the Giro d’Italia we do not need to stay in front of the caravan and the race. We also do not need to negotiate with the strict French gendarmes! And we will always have enough time on the route each day for coffee, lunch and photo stops.
There are very limited spaces on this tour. One group with a ratio of 7 cyclists: 1 guide and a driver / mechanic with the support vehicle. Riding on the official race course through cities and towns decked out in yellow and pokka dots, varied countryside and over epic cols makes this an unforgettable experience. Check out this story from our 2022 guests to be convinced!
If riding every kilometre of all 21 stages of the Grand Boucle of France sounds a bit much then you can join for just 9 or 6 stages at the Week 1, Week 2 or Week 3.
This tour has been designed to ride 24 hrs ahead of the professionals.
Total price: From €13,690
