Grand Tours Project Reflections: Our 2024 Cycling Season

2024 has been an incredible journey for Grand Tours Project, filled with inspiring adventures, new experiences, and amazing guests who made it all possible. Here are some of the highlights from a season that took us to the most stunning cycling destinations:

We kicked off the year in February with the Pro/Am AlUla Camp, immersing guests in the serene beauty of the desert and learning from the Jayco AlUla pro riders. In April, we returned for the luxurious AlUla Explorer – Wonder of Arabia, blending cycling with the magic of this unique region and discovering its traditions, culture, and rich heritage.

May brought the Giro d’Italia, and it was busier than ever with a record number of guests joining us. From the “Ride Every Kilometre” tours to our “Experience”-Leisure tours, we welcomed friends, families, and cycling enthusiasts for remarkable moments during Italy’s most iconic race.

In June, our Swiss tours began, exploring several regions through guided and self-guided tours. The Tour de France 2024 – Grand Départ & Alps Explorer tour launched our TDF season with a bang. Highlights included April Galda Joyce and Benjamin Anderson, who tackled the monumental challenge of riding every kilometre of the Tour de France.

July ended on a high note with a fully booked Switzerland Explorer: The Best Kept Secret of Alpine Riding, where guests discovered the breathtaking beauty of the Swiss Alps with quiet roads, iconic climbs, and rich traditions.

August started strong with the Norway Explorer, where guests enjoyed sunny weather cycling through dramatic fjords and mountains.

Private tours also shined, with charming adventures like To Slovenia With Love E-Bike, the luxurious Austria Tyrolean & Dolomites Explorer, and bespoke adventures in the French and Italian Alps.

September saw us running 11 tours simultaneously, mostly bespoke luxury tours, marking an incredible achievement for our team and honing our logistical skills.

One standout tour this season was Alpe d’Huez to Stelvio/Powered by Bianchi, which earned a perfect 5 out of 5 rating from our guests and included an exclusive visit to the new Bianchi factory.

We wrapped up the season with the stunning L’Eroica & Chianti Tour, blending vintage cycling with the charm of Tuscany’s rolling hills and famous wines.

In October, we traveled to Paris to attend the Tour de France route presentation, proudly celebrating our milestone as an Official Tour Operator of the Tour de France.

This season wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing guests and the incredible work of our entire team. Your passion for cycling inspires us every day, and we are so grateful for the trust you place in us.

Here’s to more adventures in 2025 – we can’t wait to ride with you again!
