It’s always worth taking a moment to reflect on the year — to gather the best moments, learnings, and achievements along the way. Here’s our 2025 wrap-up, a selection of highlights that shaped an epic season.
We started 2025 in Italy, and fittingly, we finished it in Italy too. A full circle through some of the most iconic cycling landscapes in the world — and one of the most defining years in the history of Grand Tours Project.
Our season opened in March with Strade Bianche – Tour, Race & Gran Fondo. Uri personally ran this tour together with Nicola and said that Strade Bianche was absolutely amazing — surprisingly underestimated and completely unmissable. The white roads, the raw racing, and the unmistakable Tuscan and Chianti atmosphere made it one of the most powerful cycling experiences, combining riding, cheering on the pros, and relaxed leisure time in a beautiful region. It set the tone for the year ahead.

April brought us to the perfect off-season training destination. Mallorca once again delivered ideal roads, varied terrain, and the right balance of riding and recovery. The feedback confirmed what we already knew — Mallorca Explorer remains one of the best tours in Europe to build form early in the year.

May, as always, was painted pink. The Giro d’Italia kicked off in Albania, and we welcomed back some of our most loyal REK guests. Alex returned to ride the Giro 21 stages for the second time, an extraordinary personal achievement. We also hosted a record number of guests on our Week 3 REK tour. Alongside the REK riders, our Experience leisure tours received outstanding reviews, thanks in large part to the incredible work of Daniele and Selene — an inspiring couple of ex-pro riders. We’re especially proud to welcome Daniele officially into the GTP team at the end of this year as a Tour Manager.

June took us north to Norway, where we delivered a beautiful private family tour — a reminder that some of the most meaningful experiences happen away from crowds, fully tailored to the people riding. Another highlight of the month was the Grand Tour of Switzerland, one of the most popular Swiss tours in our collection. 2025 marked the final year of this edition, as we completely reworked our Swiss collection to raise the bar even higher. New tours, including the Ticino Escape — the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland offering milder weather, challenging climbs, and a longer riding season — will launch as part of this evolution.

July has now firmly established its rhythm. It begins with the Maratona dles Dolomites Getaway, a cornerstone of our calendar for years to come. Immediately after, we reached a major milestone — our first Tour de France as an Official Tour Operator. This was a long-term goal for GTP, allowing us to finally deliver both REK and Experience tours at the Tour de France with the level of access and quality we’ve always aimed for. We also launched our new Spectator-only Escapes, short-format experiences designed for non-riders and fans; Oskar Tuffley explores these in more detail in his dedicated blog post.

Running the Tour de France meant complex operations across private and public tours, riders and non-riders, logistics for REK tours riding a day before the pros, transfers between stages, and constant adaptation to the race itself. This is exactly what we love to do — designing tours after the route release and then seeing them unfold in reality, sharing the world’s most important cycling event with our guests. The season culminated in Paris, where every challenge felt worthwhile. One detail we especially love: our youngest Experience Tour rider this year was 12, while our oldest REK rider was 71 — proof that passion for cycling truly spans generations.

August was equally busy, with a calendar filled almost entirely by private tours. Throughout the month, we worked closely with returning and long-standing guests to design fully bespoke experiences, refining every detail from routes to hotels.
September closed the season in spectacular fashion. Autumn colors, crisp air, and epic scenery framed tours like the Epic Stelvio Weekender, enhanced this year by our stay at the five-star QC Terme Bagni Nuovi. Our Alpe d’Huez to Stelvio – powered by Bianchi tour showcased the famous Coppi route to our guests and will return next year with optimized, shorter transfers.

We also hosted fantastic corporate groups — including a women-only group in Tuscany — introducing beginners to cycling through the timeless magic of L’Eroica, and wrapped up the season with a truly special Tuscany Women’s Camp in October, led by Selene, Sigrid, and Pauline.

2025 confirmed that becoming an Official Tour de France partner was a defining achievement for Grand Tours Project. It allowed us to share the very best of the Grand Tours with our guests and pushed us to grow. We expanded our team, strengthened partnerships in the luxury segment to offer even more to our guests, and found inspiration for a refreshed color palette for our cycling kit — to be revealed in 2026.
Next year, we start early and strong in January with a private VIP event — details coming soon. Strade Bianche returns in early March, and there are still a few places left. The road ahead looks exciting, ambitious, and full of new challenges — exactly how we like it.
Thank you to everyone who rode with us, cheered with us, and trusted us in 2025.
