Summer 2024 was a mixed bag - heatwaves and fires in southern Europe, rain floods and snow in central and Northern Europe. Good luck trying to find the perfect place to go on a cycling holiday that fitted the Goldilocks mantra, “just right”.

I've just got to tell you about this incredible journey I had in May – an exhilarating tour through Italy for the Giro d'Italia. Picture this: after a marathon 12-hour drive from chilly Switzerland, we arrived on the sunny Amalfi Coast. The contrast was striking – from misty mountains to azure seas and dramatic cliffs. It felt like we'd stepped into a postcard.

I wanted to share my whirlwind experience at the Tour de France in early July. It all started with a nighttime arrival in Torino, where I enjoyed a delicious dinner with our guests and team. I had the pleasure of meeting our Italian team and introducing myself to the guests, as I would be guiding them over the next two days through some epic climbs of the Tour de France.

Giro d’Italia might not be the biggest, nor the steepest tour on the pro peloton’s calendar, but it is definitely the one that the fans love the most. Giro always means three weeks of pure madness and chaos that somehow bring to life the most amazing event of the cycling season. It is only possible in Italy!

It is hard to comprehend what an amazing thing we are able to be a part of. While many of our riders are keen to take on the Giro d'Italia and “Ride Every Kilometre” many also decide to choose our “Experience” tours and ride fewer kilometres with extra spare time to watch the pro cyclists do their thing!

​I'd like to share my experience with you about a magical and unique place I visited early last year. During our search for distinctive and meaningful destinations, we stumbled upon this exceptional and unknown place that completely surprised us and changed our perspective on the concept we had of a "perfect cycling destination."
