Deposits and Payments
In order to confirm your tour, Grand Tours Project must receive your deposit.
- In most cases the deposit fee required is €500 per participant (CHF 500 for Swiss tours).
- The balance of the payment for Public Tours is due 120 days before the tour starts.
- The balance of the payment for Private & Custom Tours is due 180 days before the tour starts.
- The final invoice will be sent to you within a week after we receive your deposit. The due date for payment follows the details outlined above.
- If payment is not paid when due, Grand Tours Project reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled.
- Deposits for Public Tours are refundable and transferable — please see the cancellation policy for each tour.
- Deposits for Public Race Tours (Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, Maratona dles Dolomites, Strade Bianche GF, L’Eroica, Spring Classics, La Vuelta) are non-refundable and non-transferable — please see the cancellation policy for each tour.
- Deposits for Private & Custom Tours are non-refundable and non-transferable — please see the cancellation policy for each tour.
Trip Cancellation Insurance
All participants must obtain comprehensive trip cancellation insurance. Unexpected events can occur, including injuries to our guests as they prepare for their trip, sickness, health and accidents to close family members, epidemics/pandemics, and changes in employment situations. It is your responsibility to ensure you have this insurance at the time your trip deposit is paid.
Cancellation Policy
Public Tours — deposit is refundable
- 180+ days: Full refund of all payments made
- 120–179 days: Full refund of all payments made, less a €100 administrative fee
- 90–119 days: 75% refund of all payments made or 100% trip credit*
- 60–89 days: 50% refund of all payments made or 75% trip credit*
- 30–59 days: 25% refund of all payments made or 50% trip credit*
- 0–29 days: No refund
Public Race Tours (Tour de France, Giro d’Italia, Maratona dles Dolomites, Strade Bianche GF, L’Eroica, all Spring Classics, La Vuelta) — deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable
- 180+ days: Full refund from the balance of the trip, not including the deposit
- 120–179 days: Full refund of the trip balance only, less a €100 administrative fee; the deposit is non-refundable
- 90–119 days: 75% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 100% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 60–89 days: 50% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 75% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 30–59 days: 25% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 50% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 0–29 days: No refund
Private & Custom Tours — deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable
- 180+ days: Full refund from the balance of the trip, not including the deposit
- 120–179 days: 75% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 80% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 90–119 days: 60% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 65% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 60–89 days: 40% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 45% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 30–59 days: 20% refund (trip balance only; deposit non-refundable) or 25% of the trip balance as trip credit*
- 0–29 days: No refund
*Refunds and trip credit apply to the trip balance only.
Tour de France and Giro d’Italia Hospitality Tickets
Tour de France and Giro d’Italia Hospitality tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Health and Accident Insurance
All participants must have comprehensive medical insurance, covering health, accidents and evacuation events. It is your responsibility to ensure you have this insurance in place before you travel.
Alterations to the Tour Itinerary
We are proud to bring you the highest standard of quality on our tours. Sometimes this means modifications may be made to this itinerary. Naturally, we will notify you of any changes that may affect your arrival, departure or lodging.
