The biggest rivers in Europe have their sources in Switzerland. It is the Land of Water.
We will ride along glaciers, lakes, rivers, streams and waterfalls on this tour that takes us from Bern to Walensee via the most prestigious climbs of the Swiss Alps.
On the way, we'll stay in the beautiful of Bern (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and we will have a rest day in Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland.
Arrival at Zurich airport and transfer to Bern, the capital city of Switzerland. There is time to visit the city before dinner, which is hosted in a typical restaurant of the old town.
Bern to Interlaken
Our first ride takes us across the countryside and then along the shores of Lake Thun. We stay in the adventure sport mecca of Interlaken in the Bernese Oberland region.

Interlaken to Ulrichen
We ride to Innertkirchen and start the climb towards Grimselpass through a wild, sparsely grown mountainous landscape marked by granite rocks. After a descent we arrive in Ulrichen, in the canton (province) of Wallis.

Ulrichen to Locarno
We start immediately with the climb of the mighty Nufenen (2,478m). After that, a long descent into Ticino, the Italian speaking part of Switzerland, awaits us. We spend the night in Locarno.
115km, 1,100m of climbing
Rest day
After 2 days in the mountains, we enjoy some rest in Locarno. We can spend a lazy day on the shores of Lake Maggiore or explore the beautiful Verzasca valley.

Locarno to Gravedona
We ride to Lugano over the short climb of Monte Ceneri and cross the Italian border. After an enchanting ride on the famous Lake of Como, we arrive in Gravedona.

Gravedona to Sils/Maria
We ride back into Switzerland via Malojapass (1,815m). Tonight we stay in Sils/Maria, in Engadin - yet another language region of Switzerland!
75km, 1,700m of climbing
Sils/Maria to Filisur
It's a short ride today, but we climb one of the most beautiful Swiss passes: the Albula (2,315m). After that it's all downhill to Filisur, a beautifully preserved village.
55km, 670m of climbing
Filisur to Walenstadt
For our last day, a short climb takes us to the ski resort of Lenzerheide before the final kilometres towards another lake: the Walensee. We have our last dinner in Walenstadt. On the way we’ll ride through Maienfeld, home of Heidi. It can’t get any more Swiss than that.
